'AlcoveCollective began with a simple dream: to bring true Neapolitan pizza to London. Founded by the Carter family in 1985, our pizzeria started as a small, family-run spot with recipes passed down through generations.

Liam Carter, our founder, learned the art of pizza-making during travels across Italy, studying under master pizzaiolos in Naples—the birthplace of pizza. After returning to the UK, she aimed to recreate the magic of authentic Italian pizza, using traditional methods and top-quality ingredients.

What started as a modest 12-seat pizzeria has grown into a beloved local institution, yet our commitment to quality and authenticity remains unwavering. We still use the same wood-fired oven techniques, mix dough fresh daily, and source the finest ingredients we can find.

Today, 'AlcoveCollective' remains family-owned and operated, with the second generation of the Carter family now leading our enthusiastic team. While we’ve adopted some modern touches, the heart of our business stays the same: crafting delicious, authentic pizza that brings people together.
